Position: Director of Supply Chain (open title)
Location: St. Louis, MO (local talent strongly preferred)
Industry : Industrial Manufacturing ($40M++)
Salary : $165k-$180k Range, Bonus, Benefits, Vacation
With new ownership set to close within weeks and the upcoming retirement of our current Supply Chain leader, we are seeking an experienced, dedicated professional ready to step into a pivotal role and make a significant impact on day one. This is a hands-on position for a leader who can engage deeply at every level, guiding our team through a period of remarkable growth and transformation.
The new Director of Supply Chain will report directly to the VP of Operations/COO and work in close collaboration with Sales, Operations, and the Leadership Team to drive critical business strategies. The ideal candidate will bring the following expertise to the role.
8+yrs Progressive Supply Chain/Procurement in a $40M+ manufacturing env.,
- 8+ mgt experience leading Buyers, Planners, Schedulers, Shipping, Receiving
- Exp. optimizing a SC network with multiple, worldwide distribution centers
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (required), Microsoft, and Oracle (a plus)
- Bachelors’ Degree with an MBA or Supply Chain certification (a plus)
- Demonstrated leadership with International Sourcing efforts (a plus)
- Based out of the St Louis, MO area (local talent preferred)
Ensure best practices to enhance perf., drive efficiencies, improve service levels
- Drive supplier relationships, cost reduction initiatives, contract negotiations
- Oversee inventory management, logistics, quality, supply chain world-wide
- Manage supplier selection, inventory management, scheduling systems
- Identify, qualify and negotiate with suppliers to ensure lowest delivered cost
- Work w/ freight, shipping lines & customs brokers to ensure on-time delivery
- Develop a team of Buyers, Planners, Schedulers, Shipping, Receiving
- Providing leadership & direction for Sales, Operations, Quality, Strategy
Implement best practices to enhance culture & drive operational improvements
- Ability to lead thru complexity with resilience, instincts, and determination
- Exceptional attention to detail..this is not optional, it’s mission-critical
- A proactive leader who can build, develop and lead top talent
- Strong leader able to implement tough organization strategy & structure
- Gut, instinct, and determination to enhance value and lead growth
- Lead w/ a decisive, hands-on approach to org. strategy, structure, improvements
