Staff Attorney

Spherion is hiring a Staff Attorney on behalf of a respected non-profit legal organization in Lakeland, FL. This is a hybrid opportunity in which you will work in-office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and remotely on Tuesday and Thursday. 📝 Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intake interviews and determine eligibility for services.
- Provide legal advice, make referrals, and offer direct legal representation.
- Represent clients in court and administrative hearings.
- Maintain detailed case notes and accurate statistical records.
- Participate in case review meetings and outreach efforts.
- Stay current with CLE requirements and relevant legal training.
✅ Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- At least three or more years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Knowledge of state and federal court procedures preferred.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong sense of empathy and commitment to the organization’s mission.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); CMS experience is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred (not required).
- Experience in family law, domestic violence, elder law, housing law, or other areas of civil legal services, highly preferred.
📌 Position Details:
- Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Hybrid Workdays: In-office (Mon/Wed/Fri), Remote (Tues/Thurs)
- Salary Range: $68,000–$106,435, based on experience
