Job Description

Innovative Driven is currently seeking a professional and experienced Staff Attorney with at least three years of insurance coverage, bankruptcy, and/or mass torts experience to join the eDiscovery team at one of our most innovative and collaborative law firm DC clients! The team of Staff Attorneys works closely with the eDiscovery and case team attorneys to assist with discovery-related projects.

The firm specializes in expertly handling complex dispute resolution for its clients, and it prides itself on its inventive dedication to excellence. The legal team focuses on building long-term relationships with clients by providing unmatched skill, innovation, and work ethic to every matter.

The position is hybrid, with two days a week onsite in the DC office and three days remote, and the core hours are 9:00-5:30 ET.

DUTIES:

  • Electronic document review using eDiscovery applications (including Relativity)
  • Manage data and case information utilizing document management platforms, Adobe, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate the necessary professional and legal agility to pivot from first-level document review to complex review of insurance policies, contracts, and case documents
  • Conduct legal research and draft/respond to discovery-related documents
  • Collaborate with firm attorneys regarding litigation and discovery-related projects
  • Proactively manage discovery deadlines by effectively approaching each assignment in a solutions-oriented, collaborative manner
  • Attend and participate in professional development programs

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least three years of insurance coverage, bankruptcy, and/or mass torts experience
  • JD with an Active Bar in the District of Columbia and the state of residence (or the ability to waive into either jurisdiction immediately.)
  • Demonstrably strong legal writing and research skills
  • Previous eDiscovery experience is preferred
