Senior Director of Supply Chain North America (Atlanta area)

Korn Ferry Professional Search has partnered with a global consumer products manufacturer to find a transformational Senior Director of Supply Chain to oversee and transform the end-to-end supply chain for their North America operations with an emphasis on demand planning and SIOP .

Job description:

The Senior Director of Supply Chain will oversee demand & supply planning, develop the SIOP process, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, distribution and logistics and will work closely with internal leadership including sales and manufacturing as a strategic partner who listens to understand business team needs; provides expertise in supply chain and maintains a focus on project timelines and deliverables to ensure business goals and objectives are met.

The company aims to foster a stronger culture of fact-based, data informed decision-making and true continuous improvement. This role will report to the Global VP of Supply Chain and lead and develop a team of functional managers and their extended teams.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the overall operation of the North America Supply Chain organization. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring positive results within the department on measures related to on time delivery, cost management and inventory levels.

  • Develop Supply Chain Strategy
  • Lead the effort to restructure the supply chain organization.
  • Develop SIOP process and lead SIOP meeting topics surrounding inventory availability and outlook of supply by distributing critical inventory reporting and following through on matters that require attention
  • Develop world class KPI’s which routinely report on the health of the supply chain and bring increased visibility to business management
  • Manage and Optimize Operational Efficiency
  • Identify key risks and ensure effective processes and procedures are in place to manage these critical risks
  • Manage, guide, and develop direct reports; develop the skill sets of the supply chain team members and prepare future leaders for expanded roles
  • Drive culture of analysis and execution taking ownership of identified issues in supply planning to drive quantifiable solutions and positive business results
  • Serve as focal point for communication both up and down stream to ensure understanding and alignment throughout the organization
  • Understand key drivers of inventory and seek to reduce overall inventory value while maintaining sufficient supply to support target fill rates
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources, personnel, and processes needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain
  • Guide and Support Supply Chain Management for Overseas Factories
  • Supervise Warehouse and Distribution Center Operations
  • Promote Technological Innovation and Application

Education and/or Experience :

  • Strong background in demand planning/forecasting.
  • Strong background developing and leading the SIOP process.
  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with more than 5 years in team management. Experience in multinational corporations or large enterprises is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Track record of developing leaders under you.
  • Strong project management abilities, able to efficiently drive the implementation of supply chain-related projects. Proficient in data analysis, able to make informed decisions based on data to effectively respond to market changes.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Management systems (e.g., SAP, AX) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS).
  • Effective communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

The role is based on-site in northeast of Atlanta (near Lawrenceville)
